In the Spring of 2002, Gregory Frumess founded
The Breckenridge Group following a twenty-three year career in the
executive search business. Joined by an experienced team of four professionals
from D.E. Foster Partners Inc., Greg has established a specialty executive
search practice dedicated to serving clients in the financial services
industry. The practice specializes in search assignments in the areas
of structured finance, risk management, investment banking, global
markets sales & trading, private banking and portfolio management.
Beginning in 1985, Greg spent five years as
a senior manager with the U.S. based executive search division of
KPMG, followed by twelve years as Managing Director and National Practice
Leader in-charge of Banking and Investment Services for Foster Partners,
the U.S. executive search affiliate of KPMG in New York. He and his
team executed hundreds of search assignments for many of the nation’s
leading financial institutions during his seventeen year tenure with
the KPMG/Foster Partners search practice.
Prior to his affiliation with KPMG, Greg served
as a manager and executive search services specialist in the Management
Consulting Division of Ernst & Young in New York. He spent three
years with the firm working on a variety of senior management search
assignments for the firm’s extensive audit client base in the
banking field.
Greg began his career as a senior associate
with the management consulting firm, F.R. Schwab & Associates,
where he performed executive compensation studies and executive search
assignments for a variety of energy related companies. He also spent
two years on Wall Street as a professional options and derivatives
trader for an American Stock Exchange member firm, CCA Securities.
Over a twenty-three year search career, including
seventeen years with the KPMG/Foster Partners organization, Greg managed
the execution of over five hundred search assignments, including over
one hundred assignments in the field of risk management.
His accomplishments include:
Completed the successful recruitment of key personnel for the
structured finance departments of the U.S. subsidiaries
of four major European based banking institutions. |
Completed the successful recruitment of the Chief Financial
Officer position for the U.S. subsidiaries of over a dozen banks
and brokerage institutions. |
Recruited the Chief Credit Officer for the U.S. subsidiaries
of three major institutions and successfully completed over
thirty risk management related search assignments including
over a dozen international assignments for one of banking institutions.

Completed over three dozen separate search assignments in the
area of private banking, portfolio management, estate planning,
and tax consulting for one of the nation’s most prestigious
wealth management companies. |
Greg received his BA in History from the University
of Colorado and an MBA from the University of Colorado’s Graduate
School of Business Administration. He and his wife, Lori, and their
two children reside in Scarsdale, New York and Breckenridge, Colorado.
